Trademark and copyright infringement: The court in the Northern District of lllinois entered statutory damages in an amount of $1 million per trademark, and $150,000 per copyright, against Defendant Shenzhen Technology Ltd., which Judge Thomas Durkin deemed “high”, but warranted in this case because the Defendant was previously represented and the infringement was “willful”. We will now collect what assets the Defendant has in the U.S. and work with our international partner via LAWorld to domesticate the judgment in China.
