Victoria Derban is a Partner at Egality Law, qualified at the Ghana Bar, and brings extensive experience in international commercial & corporate law, intellectual property law, data protection, and regulatory compliance. She leads on several of the firm’s major corporate and commercial transactions, ensuring the success of high-value projects for both domestic and international clients.

Victoria leads a range of multinational projects across diverse industry sectors, including finance, oil and gas, fintech, renewables and FMCG (fast moving consumer goods). In this capacity, she routinely handles complex regulatory compliance matters involving multiple Ghanaian regulators.

Victoria has led on the setup of a number of major market-leading companies to establish a business presence in Ghana. Victoria has also worked to negotiate and represent free zone companies in their dealings with government, and to advocate on issues related to financial regulation and compliance in the area of foreign exchange regulation.

Victoria is a dual-qualified lawyer in the UK and Ghana. She holds an undergraduate law degree from the University of Surrey (UK), a Legal Practice Course diploma from the University of Law (UK), and a Master of Laws (LLM) in International Business Law from Queen Mary, University of London (UK).

Victoria also lectures in intellectual property law at the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA), contributing to the development of the next generation of legal professionals.
