Carlos received the title Doctor in Law and Social Sciences from the Universidad de la República Oriental del Uruguay (2000) and completed his Master’s degree in International Law (LLM) at the Georgetown University Law Center, Washington D. C. (United States of America) in 2004 He has had intense professional activity in the areas of mergers and acquisitions, project financing and structuring, as well as advising companies on international tenders. He has been a national and international speaker on banking secrecy, the carbon market, antitrust, the entry of Uruguayan exports into the European Union, the multilateral trade system, and international economic relations.
He currently intervenes in the strategy and coordination of multijurisdictional claims and arbitrations, actively participates in advising companies in the agribusiness sector and leads the Firm’s Litigation and Arbitration practice. He has been distinguished in Chambers & Partners 2019 in the Litigation and Real Estate area.
